Saw a post over on reddit from a lifelong Arkansan in their 20s saying they never really found a close-knit group here. Wants hikes, breakfast, movies, maybe theater. Nothing wild, just people to do stuff with. Replies were the usual: running clubs, church small groups, the Nerf club (still cracks me up), trivia nights, volunteering. A couple people were honest that Conway is pretty quiet socially unless you're in school or have kids, and yeah.. not wrong 😅
I'm over in Tucker Creek, been here since 2019, and most of my friends came from the kids' school stuff and going to school board meetings (don't laugh). If you don't have that built-in thing it's hard. It's gotten colder too and I always notice it more this time of year.
So what actually worked for you? Any groups that aren't super clique-y? I'd also be up for a casual Saturday breakfast and a walk around Lake Conway or Cadron Settlement Park if a few people wanted to try it. No pressure, just curious if there's interest.
